Grilled Asparagus


1 bunch of asparagus

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 clove garlic

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Chop off bottom 2 inches of asparagus.

Finely dice garlic clove.

Pour 3 tablespoons olive oil into the largest mixing bowl you have.

Add salt, pepper, and garlic.

Mix together.

With a large wooden spoon, mix the asparagus in the bowl, so that it is covered with the oil mixture.

Cover a baking tray in foil.

Spread out asparagus evenly, pouring any remaining oil mixture on top.

Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.

You can check on the asparagus after 12 minutes if they are very thin. This is a vegetable that has a very narrow range for the right amount of tenderness.

Serve immediately.
