This activity about American immigrants is great for Thanksgiving.

Veterans Day Camo Wreath

Make this camo wreath for Veteran’s Day. Print this template, have children color sections at least two colors of green and at least two colors of neutral. Finish with a red, white, & blue bow!
Soldier Report

Use these templates to guide students in a research project about how the lives of American soldiers have changed over the years.

Have children draw different people, animals, or made-up creatures on each page. Students then staple all pages together and cut on the dotted lines. The result will be a fun flip book they have made themselves to mix and match funny looking people or creatures.
Other ways to use this are making mix and match monsters for Halloween, having students draw themselves at the beginning of the year and making it a book for the classroom library, or drawing how to dress for each season.

For finding the volume of an L-shaped figure, use this template with mini sticky notes in four different colors. Have students copy the dimensions of the shape in each way onto three sticky notes of the same color. Sticky notes of the same color may be swapped, but those of different colors may not. This can be especially helpful for students who get stuck on multiple-choice questions for L-shaped figures during tests.

Use this template to assign students a small research project about different stars. Accompany it with a 3-D model or a painted paper plate to represent their star.
Shhhhh! We don’t WANT to talk about Christmas yet…
