Song Dice
Buy three 4″x4″ cardboard boxes at a craft store and print these pictures onto full-size page labels. Put six of the nursery rhyme songs on two of the dice and the six counting songs on the other. Let children toss each one to choose songs for your morning circle time each day.

Color Game for Toddlers

Play this fun game with toddlers to help them learn the names of colors. Cut two pieces each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and pink construction paper to 8 1/2 x 11 inches. Print the pictures onto each color and cut them out. Laminating them will make them last longer. You can stick on magnet strips to the back of each if you will use them on a magnet board, or Velcro strips to the front of one and back of the other to play on the floor or at a table.

Set out the larger pieces. As you point to each one, sing this song to the tune of Head and Shoulders:
Red, orange, yellow, green and blue,
Purple and pink.
Red, orange, yellow, green and blue,
Purple and pi-i-i-ink.
Red orange, yellow,
Green and blue,
Red orange, yellow, green and blue,
Purple and pink.
Put the smaller pieces in a bin and take turns taking them out one at a time to match them.
