Christmas Crafts

Cardboard Christmas Tree

Cut two pieces of cardboard into triangles. Slice halfway up from the bottom of one, and halfway down from the top of the other.

Paint the pieces green. After they are fully dry, connect them and add pom-poms or other craft materials to decorate.

Christmas Notes Bulb

This craft is great for giving gifts withing a class, family, or other group. Buy a set of bulbs that open all around on the side.

Give a strip of Christmas paper (leftover wrapping paper also works), and have them write a note to each person in the group. Make sure they start with the person’s name and sign theirs. Collect all paper strips into piles by recipient.

Spread out all the strips like this with one bulb half in the center.

Slide it over the edge of the table and hold your hand underneath.

Push the center into the first bulb half.

Fold over the strips so they wrap around.

Press the two bulb halves together. Now each person will have a bulb with notes from everyone in the group which they can open and re-read each year.

Paper Towel Roll Candle

Take a piece of cardstock and use white or yellow crayon to make stars or snowflakes. Paint it with blue and purple watercolors to make a night sky.

Cut a paper towel roll almost in half, leaving some extra space at the bottom to cut 2 inch inserts to hold the roll onto the paper.

Alternately, you can use hot glue to hold the roll in place.

Paint the paper towel roll to look like a candle. After it has dried, attach it to the cardstock.

Fold a small piece of yellow tissue paper and glue at the top to make a flame.

Gingerbread House

Use a shoebox, tissue box, or any small package to create a gingerbread house. Use cotton balls for the snow, and decorate with pom-poms, pipe cleaners, and any other craft materials.

To make lollipops, roll pipe cleaner into a tight spiral, gluing as you go. Glue onto popsicle sticks or toothpicks.

Paper Wreath

Cut light and dark green construction paper into strips (the length of the short edge). Cut triangles out of one side.

Cut out the center of a paper plate.

Glue around the edges of the plate.

Attache two strips of red paper to make a bow.

Use the candle template to put a candle in the center.
