New Year’s Classroom Activities

Use these activities in the classroom to help your students ring in the New Year.

New Years Math Class Activities

• Create math problems with a solution of 2026.
• Estimate things that are 2026 inches, feet, miles, pounds, dollars, etc.
• Divide 2026 by the number of students in your class and have each one collect that number of an item (twigs, leaves, paper clips, etc.)
• Divide 2026 by the number of students in your class and have each child do that many jumping jacks, spins, cartwheels, etc.
• Make the number 2026 with math rods and cubes.
• Count to 2026 by thousands, tens, and ones.
• Measure out 2026 inches on the field.
