Patriotic Crafts

Tie red, white and blue string around a metal ring to create a small decoration for a door handle or post.

Make a crown out of red or blue cardstock. Punch holes around top and twist red or blue pipe cleaner through. Print the stars from the coloring sheets above onto ed, white and blue paper, or onto cardstock and cut one to use for tracing stars onto colored construction paper to cut out. Twist other end of pipe cleaner through one star of each color. Pull stars slightly apart so all three colors show. Tape on back to hold them in this position.

Cut 1.5″ slits onto one end of three toilet paper rolls. Place red, blue and white paint onto three paper plates. Dip each roll into paint and make fireworks on black paper.

Use one of the star cut-outs from the coloring pages above to trace onto a paper plate.

Cut out the inside of the star.

Make alternating blue and red fingerprint outlines.

Use four of the star cut-outs from the coloring pages above to tape onto a piece of card stock (folding only a small piece of tape so it can be removed later without leaving a mark).

Make fingerprint outlines of each star (2 red, 2 blue).

Fill in the rest of the page with a mix of red and blue fingerprints.

Cut out the center of a paper plate and draw lines to guide children in painting red and white stripes and a blue corner. Use star stickers or a star hole-puncher to make white stars to add on top.

Cut a paper plate in half and paint blue. Use star stickers or a star hole-puncher to make white stars to add on top. Cut strips of red and white tissue paper to glue to the back in alternating colors.
