Here is a fun and easy craft for children to make Valentines for friends and classmates. All you need is construction paper (the colors of the animals or Valentines colors, your choice), glue, scissors and a black marker.
Start with cardstock or construction paper. The sizes given in each set of instructions below correspond to:
Full page folded in half: size one
Half page folded in half: size two
Quarter page folded in half: size 3
Eighth page folded in half: size 4
Sixteenth page folded in half: size 5
Thirty-second page folded in half: size 6
Sixty-fourth page folded in half: size 7
Cardstock will be sturdier, but construction paper is easier to fold and cut, especially for younger children. Depending on children’s age and the time you have, you may want to cut hearts ahead of time, then have children assemble them according to the instructions below.
Bunny
Size 2 for body
size 3 for head
